Haveley Hey is a Rights Respecting School

We are officially a Gold Rights Respecting School! Thank you to Martin Russell and Pat

At Haveley Hey we believe that all children should grow up to understand and use their rights so they can be happy, safe and compassionate people in our society.  We teach the children that all children have these rights, no matter what!  We use the 'ABCDE of rights' to help to do this.

In 2015 we were successful in our accreditation to become a Level 2 Rights Respecting School. The assessors were really impressed with our whole school community's commitment to promoting and protecting children's rights. We are one of only a few hundred schools in the country to have this accreditation - along with our partner schools, The Willows and St Marys. As a forward thinking school we will continue to make changes to improve the education that we offer our children - but the golden thread that will always run through this will be our continued commitment to children's rights.

Now, 3 years on, we have just been awarded our Gold award!  Martin Russel and Pat Peaker came into school on October 5th and met with pupils, staff and parents.  They were really impressed with all of the things we've doing!  Have a read of our report here- we hope you're as proud as we are.
