School policies
Our Behaviour Policy is given to new parents and carers at the point of admission for their children and our Attendance Policy is issued annually. If you would like another copy of either please see Mrs Lewis at the school office.

Breakfast Club
We hold a Breakfast Club each school day from 8.00 am. Your child must arrive by 8.30 am to ensure they get a breakfast. Breakfast club is partially funded by Pupil Premium and a small charge of 50p per day per child. It also receives food donations from 'National Breakfast Programme'.
Milk money
Milk for all children in Nursery, Reception and Key Stage 1 is provided daily in school – there is no charge to parents for this milk.
For all Key Stage 2 children who would like to have milk, an order is placed along with payment (currently £7.00 per term) to Mrs Lewis at the school office at the beginning of each term. This is still excellent value and a great way for your child to start each school day!
Uniform
Our uniform is black or grey trousers / skirt with a white polo shirt. The school sweatshirt can be bought from the school office. From Nursery to Year 5 the children wear a purple sweatshirt and in Year 6 it is royal blue.
Children entering into Reception will receive a free school sweatshirt and book bag.
Children should wear sensible black shoes.
P.E.
Your child will take part in weekly P.E. sessions and will need to have, in school, a pair of black shorts, a white t-shirt and a pair of black pumps. P.E. bags are available to purchase from the school office. Please make sure your child’s clothes are clearly marked.
Please leave P.E. kits in school for the duration of each half term – this means they will always have a change of clothes in school if/when needed!
Emergency contacts
If your child becomes ill in school we always try to contacts parents and carers by telephone. Please make sure school has a current telephone number for you or another person who can be contacted in an emergency.
Keeping in Touch with you
Our main way to communicate wiih parents is through Class Dojo. This is an App you can get on your phone which allows you to send and receive messages from all of the staff in school, including the Senior Leadership Team. You will receive updates about things going on in school as well as specific messages about your child. If you have lost access to your dojo account, please speak to your childs teacher and they will give you a code. We also make use of a text messaging service called Group call. This sends out information about events in school and reminders for events and holidays etc. As a parent it keeps you up to speed with the most important news. Please make sure that we have your current mobile phone number so that you are included in this service.
Religious Education
As a school we follow the Manchester SACRE programme of Religious Education which covers a range of religions. As parents and carers you may wish to withdraw your children from celebrations and worship, in order to do so please contact Mrs Lewis in the school office in order for arrangements to be made with teachers and staff.
Parent Charter
As a Rights Respecting School we create charters to guide behaviour and to agree how we want our school community to look and feel. Charters put children's rights at the heart of this so that all adults are focused on ensuring that children are best supported to know, understand and respect their rights so that they can learn and grow as Rights Respecting citizens. This Parent Charter was created by children and parents last year through a whole school Learning Log homework. We asked children - What help do you need from adults to help you grow up accessing and respecting your rights? Our Rights Respecting Council sifted through all the replies and chose the most commonly used responses. We share the Parent Charter at induction meetings and it is promoted at the school gates too. We believe that the school belongs to the community and so this charter is what the community wants from its adults.
